چکیده
Evapotranspiration (ET) is composed of soil evaporation (ETs), canopy transpiration (ETc), and intercepted water (ETw), it plays an indispensable role in the energy cycles land surface processes. More accurate estimations variations ET are essential for natural hazard monitoring resource management. An improved algorithm ETs with moisture texture (SMT) optimized ETc based on MOD16 model (MOD16-STM) proposed cold, arid, semiarid regions Tibetan Plateau (TP). The nonlinear relationships between resistance (rss) hydration state different textures were redefined by using five flux tower measurements over TP. value mean potential stomatal conductance per unit leaf area (CL) used calculation grasslands was at 0.0038 (m s−1). MOD16-STM compared a index-based Priestley-Taylor (SWI-PT) independent sites. results showed that half-hourly, daily, monthly from closer to observations than those other two models. indicated increased R2 0.2/0.05 index agreement 0.37/0.23 deceased RMSE 43.89/42.77 W m−2 absolute bias (|MB|) 46.23/45.89 m−2, when daily/monthly scales. suggested will produce more estimates sites has great estimation improvement TP region.

Comparison of satellite-based evapotranspiration estimates over the Tibetan Plateau
The Tibetan Plateau (TP) plays a major role in regional and global climate. The understanding of latent heat (LE) flux can help to better describe the complex mechanisms and interactions between land and atmosphere. Despite its importance, accurate estimation of evapotranspiration (ET) over the TP remains challenging. Satellite observations allow for ET estimation at high temporal and spatial s...
متن کاملRelationship between the Growing Season Maximum Enhanced Vegetation Index and Climatic Factors on the Tibetan Plateau
Temperature and water conditions affect vegetation growth dynamics and associated spectral measures. We examined the response of the growing season maximum enhanced vegetation index (MEVI) to the growing season temperature, precipitation, vapor pressure and relative humidity on the Tibetan Plateau. The responses of the MEVI to climatic factors changed with the vegetation type, which may be attr...

Quantitative estimation of actual evapotranspiration (ETa) by in situ measurements and mathematical modeling is a fundamental task for physical understanding of ETa as well as the feedback mechanisms between land and the ambient atmosphere. However, the ETa information in the Tibetan Plateau (TP) has been greatly impeded by the extremely sparse ground observation network in the region. Approach...
متن کاملExpansion of the Tibetan Plateau during the Neogene
The appearance of detritus shed from mountain ranges along the northern margin of the Tibetan Plateau heralds the Cenozoic development of high topography. Current estimates of the age of the basal conglomerate in the Qaidam basin place this event in Paleocene-Eocene. Here we present new magnetostratigraphy and mammalian biostratigraphy that refine the onset of basin fill to ∼25.5 Myr and reveal...
